Guitar Lesson: Do You Know These Easy Chords?
With your guitar has a lot of easy chords that sound good you want. Let’s play a few open guitar chords in the key A.

Guitar tab notation is a way to show how to play melodies and chords on the guitar. Usually consists of six lines representing the six strings on the guitar and the numbers that show frets to play.
In this guitar lesson we will use a form of guitar tablature that uses numbers instead of tablature staff. I have found that the usual guitar tab staff sometimes uncorrectly notation will be displayed on the site articles.
How to read this notation
I will use two figures to show how to play the notes. The first number indicates the second fret and string to play. Example:
3 / 2
Tab notation is telling you to play the third fret on the second string. This is the note D on your guitar. For clarification: The first is the string the string with the highest tone.
A turnaround in the key of A
What’s turnaround? This is a series of chords that can be played repeatedly on the guitar as an intro to a song or between verses and so on.
We’ll start with the usual major chord that the guitar tab notation described above would look like this:
0 / 5 2 / 4 2 / 3 2 / 2 0 / 1
We will remove all six strings to get a cleaner sound. Let’s add an E chord. We will not use the regular E major chord och E7. Instead, we will use chords easier called E major with A as the bass notes are denoted E / A.
Guitar chord looks like this:
0 / 5 2 / 4 1 / 3 0 / 2 0 / 1
We’re finally going to add the Asus chord. Guitar tab notation looks as follows:
0 / 5 2 / 4 2 / 3 3 / 2 0 / 1
You can play chords in the following way:
A E / A Asus A
You can pick from a chord with two or four down on each chord. As I mentioned earlier this chord work as rotation and can be played repeatedly.
A turnaround in the key of A minor
We will start this turnaround with a simple and easy chord A minor. Looks like this with guitar tab:
0 / 5 2 / 4 2 / 3 1 / 2 0 / 1
If you release the pressure slightly and slide the finger chords two frets you will get the following chords:
0 / 5 4 / 4 4 / 3 3 / 2 0 / 1
A nice sound chord that can be called in various ways. We can call it B minor with A as bass note and the additional E notes. Abbreviated it will Bm / A add 11.
By shifting chords one more restless and change just one note (by pressing down the little finger) you will get the following guitar chord:
0 / 5 5 / 4 5 / 3 5 / 2 0 / 1
This will be a minor seventh chord. Am7 short notation.
Playing chords in the following order will create a turnover:
Am Bm / A add 11 Am7 Bm / A add 11
